Waverley Station regeneration project wins “Best Team Award”
Colas Rail is delighted to announce that the Waverley Station regeneration
project team has won the “Best Team Award” at the prestigious Annual Network
Rail Partnership Awards
On the 14th July, the Team Contribution Award was presented to Colas Rail,
Morgan Est and Westinghouse Rail Systems at a ceremony held at the Hilton
Birmingham Metropole Hotel. Judges were impressed by the effective collaborative
working demonstrated by all three companies involved, which helped deliver the
project to Network Rail on time and within budget. The contracts to regenerate
the station in Edinburgh were awarded individually to each of the firms and the
contractors then worked together to deliver the £150 million project.
Julian Dunn, Managing Director, Projects, Colas Rail said: “This is a fantastic
result as it shows how partnership, trust and teamwork play a vital role in any
project, especially one of this size and profile”
