South Central Depots - Improvement Works

• A programme of works to provide additional and improved facilities at six Traincare Depots serving the South Central Franchise Area.

• Required as a result of the introduction of a new Fleet of Rolling Stock by Southern as part of the Southern Region New Trains initiative to replace all Mk1 Rolling Stock within the area.

• The programme worked to a very tight timetable which was met on time while the Depots remained in operational use

• The project works involved the Design, Engineering and Construction of Civil works, Structural components, Permanent Way, Signalling, 750V DC Electrification, Mechanical and Electrical services, Architectural works, Building services together with all associated disciplines such as telecommunications and IT.
