Colas Rail Training and Assessment Centre is one of the principal training schools in the South of England. It was formed to deliver quality professional training programmes that provide practical results for staff and their organisations within a "safe" controlled railway environment. The facilities include a fully functional training track with working signals and points together with track components that can be taken down and reassembled as and when required. It is one of a few places that has a fully functional North London Line Track Isolation Switch and a Southern Region Hookswitch.

Colas Rail also has a well established Assessing agency that is able to provide full support to ensure full compliance with Network Rail standards.
This includes:

• Experienced “ Railway “ Trainers and Assessors.
• Total confidentiality with each individual.
• Full monitoring of all assessment requirements for each individual skill held.
• Workplace assessments to suit your requirements both day and night.

All of our Trainers and Assessors are Sentinel registered.

People that are entering the rail industry for the first time sometimes requires an introduction to the railway operations, terminology and rules and requlations and this can mean that they attend a PTS course with the costs of being medical and drugs and alcohol screened and the issue of personal protective equipment when there is no need.
