Purpose of job

To produce Permanent Way design drawings and documentation according to experience.

Key accountabilities

• Production of S&C and plain line track alignment designs using specialized software.

• Production of design drawings using CAD software.

• Vehicle clearance analysis and production of reports.

• Site visits/surveys.

• Ensure that documentation is produced and delivered in accordance with the quality and programme requirement.

• Provide technical and administrative support to the Design Team Leader.

• Ensure that the permanent way design is delivered in compliance with the appropriate Client standards and specifications.


Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum of HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Experience of Microstation CAD package desirable.

• Experience of Permanent Way Design desirable.

• Experience of ClearRoute software desirable.

• Experience of InRail or MxRail software desirable.
