Our aim is to be the partner of choice for all aspects of rail infrastructure solutions, where we believe collaboration and shared objectives are the key to success.

At Colas Rail UK we champion a collaborative/alliancing approach. We have a proven track record in working collaboratively with our chosen industry partners to deliver major multidisciplinary projects, track renewals programmes and aligned services across the UK rail and metro network.
We partner for success and are committed to delivering on our promises to our employees, the people we work with, our customers and all our stakeholders. We aim to build effective and efficient relationships to deliver a set of common goals to meet our customers’ requirements and safely achieve sustainable, commercially driven benefits for all.
South Alliance
Plain Line
Wessex capacity alliance

Our Alliances Encourage and Promote:

  • knowledge sharing & collaboration
  • proactive stakeholder engagement
  • early engagement & innovation
  • shared safety behaviours
  • the delivery of sustainable solutions
  • a collective accountability
  • a ‘win-win’ mentality
  • trust & openness
Our strength lies in our experience of working collaboratively with integrated client teams, operating a best person for the job principle. Successful collaboration reduces risk, improves performance, drives efficiencies and promotes a proactive working environment where achievements are measured across a range of metrics rather than simply commercial success.

We are the only rail contractor in the UK to be part of three major Rail Alliances showing our collaborative credentials and ability to deliver value through early contractor involvement and effective supply chain management.
